Originally from the North Shore of Chicago, Executive Chef Peter DeCarl unknowingly began his culinary career helping out at local restaurants in Rome, Italy at a tender age of twelve. His parents had moved overseas in 1971 and lived in Rome for almost 9 years. After moving back to the states, Chef DeCarl finished up his education and made a decision that would forever change his life. Chef Peter decided it was time to cook. Working throughout Chicago-land’s top restaurants Chef DeCarl went out on his own in 1991; opening an eclectic restaurant in Lake Forest, Illinois. Rigoletto restaurant was an immediate success, award winning, and a highly acclaimed work of art. Rigoletto served Chicago’s celebrities, professional sports figures, TV personalities, movie producers, and world renowned musicians. With one successful restaurant, Chef DeCarl decided to open a second location in Lincoln Park, Illinois. “Rigoletto Two” was geared more toward the exciting night life of Chicago. Chef DeCarl ran his restaurants for twelve years and one day decided to sell off and move to Scottsdale, Arizona with his wife Susanna and two daughters Samantha and Stefani. |
