Steve Leonard became Moon Valley Country Club’s General Manager in June 2008. A native of Knoxville, Tennessee, Steve held similar positions at Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, AZ and Savannah Quarters Country Club in Savannah, GA. A 12-year member of the PGA, he also worked at Kierland Golf Club and Camelback Golf Club, both in Scottsdale, AZ, and Marriott’s Desert Springs Resort in Palm Desert, CA. Steve is married with two daughters and his easy going, professional demeanor fit well at MVCC where fun and excellent service go hand in hand. |

Gary started at Moon Valley in 1994. His work with various departments, committees and boards over the years was instrumental in him being named Director of Operations. A native of Connecticut, he was a licensed plumber for 16 years prior to moving to Arizona in 1986. He is happily married and has two sons. Gary enjoys traveling, especially back to New England visiting family and friends. |

Tom Bush is a veteran golf course superintendent with almost 10 years of golf course construction experience as well. Tom brings a wealth of knowledge in providing an outstanding tournament-conditioned golf course on a daily basis with the eye of a player to make the course set-up challenging and rewarding for all levels of players. |

Originally from the North Shore of Chicago, Executive Chef Peter DeCarl unknowingly began his culinary career helping out at local restaurants in Rome, Italy at a tender age of twelve. His parents had moved overseas in 1971 and lived in Rome for almost 9 years. After moving back to the states, Chef DeCarl finished up his education and made a decision that would forever change his life. Chef Peter decided it was time to cook. Working throughout Chicago-land’s top restaurants Chef DeCarl went out on his own in 1991; opening an eclectic restaurant in Lake Forest, Illinois. Rigoletto restaurant was an immediate success, award winning, and a highly acclaimed work of art. Rigoletto served Chicago’s celebrities, professional sports figures, TV personalities, movie producers, and world renowned musicians. With one successful restaurant, Chef DeCarl decided to open a second location in Lincoln Park, Illinois. “Rigoletto Two” was geared more toward the exciting night life of Chicago. Chef DeCarl ran his restaurants for twelve years and one day decided to sell off and move to Scottsdale, Arizona with his wife Susanna and two daughters Samantha and Stefani. |

Jennifer started her career here at Moon Valley Country Club in January of 2007. Working her way up in the company she is now our Catering Director. She is a native of Arizona and received her bachelors degree in Marketing from Arizona State University. She enjoys white water rafting in the summer and skiing in the fall. Jennifer has a soft heart for animals and in her free time enjoys working with local animal shelters and veterinarians. |

Cheryl McDuffie is a native Texan who now calls Arizona her home. She came to Moon Valley in March, 2006 as a staff accountant and was promoted to Property Accountant in September, 2007. Prior to Moon Valley, she was the accountant for The Golf Club of Texas in San Antonio, Texas. Cheryl has over 20 years experience as a senior accountant. She is married and has two daughters and one son and seven grandchildren. Cheryl enjoys cooking and game nights with the family. |

Jon Perran started teaching tennis in 1979. He took some time off from teaching to give professional tour tennis a shot in 1983 and 1984. From there it was back to teaching tennis. Jon is an Arizona Native (Desert Rat) and has spent his entire teaching career in the Metro Phoenix area. Jon came to Moon Valley Country Club in March of 2005. Jon graduated from Weber State University and played number one position in singles and doubles for Weber State which was ranked top 20 for NCAA division 1 universities. |

Dustin Anderson started off working in food and beverage with Ocotillo Golf Resort during college. Being an Arizona native Dustin decided to attend Arizona State University, and in May of 2008 received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Immediately out of school Dustin traveled to North Carolina to work as a restaurant manager with St. James Plantation. The move did not last long, a position opened at Moon Valley Country Club and Dustin jumped on the opportunity to work back in Arizona, and back on the banquet side of things. Since returning back home Dustin has decided to continue his education and is studying for his MBA to enhance his value to Moon Valley and its members. |
